Allies
An Ally is a partnership between two players — a public bond tracked on your Lair and your profile: who you're paired with, and how long you've been together. (Previously called "Sidekick.")
Proposing
Head to Find an Ally (from your Lair) and enter the User ID of the player you want to propose to. You'll need:
- A Relic equipped — no Relic, no proposing.
- No existing Ally of your own.
- No other pending proposal you've already sent out — cancel it first.
The target needs to be free too. There's no cost to propose, no level requirement, and no alignment restriction — Hero and Villain, any level gap, doesn't matter.
A proposal notifies the target with an Accept/Decline choice in their event log. If they accept, any other pending proposals either of you had out are automatically cancelled — you can't end up half-committed to two people at once.
What being Allies does
It's a social feature — being Allies is a public statement, not a stat sheet. You get:
- Your Ally's name shown, linked, on your Lair and your profile.
- A running "days together" counter from the moment they accepted.
- A world-feed announcement when you pair up, and when you split.
Parting ways
You can end a partnership at any time from your Lair for a small Points cost. Both of you are notified, and the split is announced in the world feed.
