The Watch Tower
The Watchtower is the command center for the Alignment War — enlist here, and this is where you'll come back to check the state of the war, see how your faction is doing, and find live opponents to fight. This page covers what you'll actually see at the Watchtower itself; head to Alignment War for the full mechanics of territory, flags, and the weekly tally.
Enlisting
Free, instant, no requirements. Once enlisted you're on your faction's roster and everything on this page starts tracking you personally, not just the city as a whole. You can only leave within a 24-hour grace window right after the weekly tally — outside that window, you're in for the week.
The Ledger
A narrator line at the top reads the current state of the war and reacts to your own situation — whether the war's just getting started, whether your side is winning or losing, or whether you've barely gotten moving yet. It's flavor on top of real numbers, not a separate system.
City Control
A live breakdown of exactly how much of the map each faction holds — total tiles controlled, shown as a Hero/Villain percentage split — plus each of the five districts individually, who (if anyone) fully controls it, and what perk that district grants its controlling faction. This is the same district-control data Exploring uses for its own bonuses, just laid out clearly in one place instead of scattered across the map.
Your War Status
Your own faction's active perks (from whichever districts your side currently controls), shown short-form so you can see at a glance what bonuses you're fighting under this week.
Flags
A status line for both factions' flags — whether it's safe at home, sitting on the ground somewhere unguarded, being actively carried (and by who, and roughly where), or respawning after a recent capture. See Alignment War for the full pickup/capture mechanics.
Faction Stats
Side-by-side totals for both factions: combined War Points, how many enrolled members each side has, how many of them are currently conscious (not knocked out), and each faction's overall PvP win/loss record for the week.
Top Lists
Three leaderboards per faction — Top War Points, Top Fighters (by War Point-earning PvP wins), and Top Claimers (by successful territory claims) — with a toggle to check the enemy faction's own lists too, so you can see who you're actually up against.
Targets
A dedicated attackable-players list, filtered to enrolled members of one faction, sorted by War Points — the fastest way to find a live opponent for a War Point-earning fight without hunting through the general player list. This links straight into regular Combat; fighting an enrolled, opposite-alignment target here is what actually earns War Points, not anything unique to this list itself.
Explore Territory
A call-to-action strip showing your Explore Turns left today and your current district, linking straight into Exploring's move view — territory claiming is the one activity that actually feeds the war, so it's the one action the Watchtower pushes you toward directly.
Note: The Wire is not a War mechanic and doesn't appear here at all — it's a fully separate NPC job sim, open to everyone regardless of whether you're enlisted, reachable any time from the City map or its own page.
Week Timer & History
A countdown to the next Sunday tally, plus a short history of recent past seasons — who won, and the final score — so you can see how the war's been trending beyond just this week.
Tips
- Check City Control before deciding where to explore — fighting for territory (or just farming Reputation/scraps) inside a district your own side already controls is quietly better thanks to the perk bonus.
- The Targets list is the fastest path to War Point-earning fights — don't waste time searching the general player list for enrolled opponents.
- Watch the enemy's Top Lists occasionally — knowing who's actually driving their score can tell you where the real threat is.
