Boss Battle

A Boss Battle is a server-wide event — staff spawn a monster into the city, and everyone works to take it down before it's gone. There's only ever one active at a time, and the whole city can see it coming: a world feed announcement, a live HP card on the City page's Slums district, and a banner in your sidebar for as long as it's up.

The Bosses

Three so far, always fought in the same order:

The Gator King

1,000,000 HP
Meltdown

2,000,000 HP
Malice

3,000,000 HP

Solo Attack

Once per hour. Each attack lands 5-20 hits, and every hit is rolled using your real Strength and Power (the same effective-stat math as regular Combat, plus your equipped Weapon and Relic bonus) — but scaled down to 10% of what that hit would do in a real fight. So if your normal combat damage range is a big number, expect roughly a tenth of that per hit here, landed many times over instead of once.

The boss always hits back — hard enough to leave you at 1 HP (not a true knockout, so it won't send you to the Hospital on its own, but you'll want to heal before doing much else). Every solo attack rewards 10% of the EXP needed for your next level, plus a small amount of Reputation based on how much damage you dealt.

Alliance Attack

If you're in an Alliance, anyone with War Chamber initiate permission (or the Alliance Leader) can launch a full alliance attack — every member who's been active in the last 7 days deals damage together in the same swing, using their own real stats the same way a solo attack does. Nobody loses any HP from it.

  • Limited to once per hour.
  • Capped at 5 attacks per reset window (windows reset at noon and midnight).
  • Awards Alliance EXP based on total damage dealt.

Inactive members (no login in 7+ days) simply don't contribute — they're skipped entirely rather than dragging the attack down.

Battle Log

Both attack types show a real turn-by-turn log after you attack — same visual style as a PvP Combat report. Solo attacks show each individual hit; alliance attacks show each contributing member's own hits and damage, sorted highest to lowest, like a mini leaderboard for that single attack.

Leaderboards

Four rankings track the current fight:

  • Most Damage — total damage dealt, solo attacks only.
  • Most Attacks — total attack count, solo attacks only.
  • Most Efficient — highest total damage while staying under 50,000, ranked by fewest attacks it took to get there.
  • Top Alliances — total damage dealt through alliance attacks.

When the Boss Falls

Whoever (or whichever Alliance) lands the killing blow gets the main prize — a Rail Driver and a Sentinel Helmet, dropped straight into their Inventory on a solo kill, or into the Alliance Armory if an alliance attack finished it off.

A few more prizes go out automatically once the boss is down:

  • The player with the most attacks gets an Energy Drink.
  • The player who was most efficient (Most Efficient leaderboard's #1) gets an Energy Drink.
  • Every member of the top-damage Alliance gets a personal notification.

The kill is announced to the whole city on the World Feed, and the sidebar/City banners disappear until the next one spawns.

Tips

  • There's no cash or item cost to attack — the only thing you're spending is the hourly cooldown, so it's worth checking in regularly while a boss is up.
  • Alliance attacks don't cost members any HP, so it's close to a free way to contribute — just needs someone with the right permission to actually launch it.
  • Since the retaliation leaves you at 1 HP every time, plan your solo attacks around when you can afford to be low — right before logging off, or right before a Hospital visit anyway.
  • The Most Efficient leaderboard rewards restraint, not raw power — a well-timed few attacks can outrank someone who's been grinding all day if they stay under the 50,000 damage line.
