Intel
Intel doesn't win you a single fight by itself — no direct combat power, no direct cash. What it does instead is make almost everything else you do pay out more, which is exactly why it's worth treating as a priority, not an afterthought.
What Intel Actually Boosts
- Every Gym train (Speed, Power, Strength, and Intel itself) gets a flat bonus added on top of the normal gain — +0.015 per 100 Intel, so a higher Intel makes literally every future training session worth more.
- Streets cash and XP both get a percentage bonus from Intel — +10% per 50 Intel up to 1,000 (max +200%).
- Combat EXP gets the same percentage bonus (not cash, just experience) — another +10% per 50 Intel up to 1,000.
None of this is a one-time unlock — it's a permanent multiplier sitting underneath everything you already do. A player with high Intel is quietly out-earning and out-leveling an identical player with low Intel, doing the exact same activities.
The Soft Cap: 1,000
Here's the part that makes Intel different from Speed/Power/Strength: you cannot train Intel past 1,000 at the Gym. Once you hit it, Intel simply disappears from your list of trainable stats there — the game won't let you push it any higher that way, full stop.
The percentage bonuses above follow the same wall: they're strongest below 1,000 Intel, and between 1,000–2,500 Intel the rate is cut in half — +5% per 50 Intel instead of +10% — capping out at +350% total at 2,500 Intel. Past 2,500, the bonus stops growing entirely no matter how much higher your Intel goes.
Getting Past 1,000 — The Penthouse Library
Right now there's exactly one dedicated way to keep pushing Intel past the Gym's wall: the Library, a Penthouse room that unlocks once your Intel actually hits 1,000 (you need Penthouse access too). Inside, reading "The History of Masked City" costs 10 Prestige and grants +0.5 Intel per read — repeatable, all the way up to the 2,500 hard cap.
There's also a small chance of picking up +3 or +10 Intel as a random bonus reward from working the Streets — not something to plan around, but it's uncapped and stacks with everything above.
Looking ahead: the Library is the only intentional path past 1,000 right now. More ways to push past the soft cap — food items and other systems — are planned for later as the game grows, so this is very much still an early version of that part of the game.
Bottom Line
Get Intel to 1,000 as early as you reasonably can — every train, every Streets run, and every fight from that point on pays out more because of it. After that, the Library is there if you want to keep climbing toward 2,500, but it's a much slower grind than the free ride to 1,000 was.
