Energy
Energy is required for most of the game's core actions. Your cap is 100 Energy.
What Costs Energy
- Training at the Gym — 10 Energy per train.
- The Streets — 10 Energy per run.
- Combat — 5 Energy per attack.
Exploring does not cost Energy — it runs on its own separate resource, Explore Turns. See Exploring.
Passive Regeneration
Energy refills on its own over time, at a rate that depends on Donator status:
- Donators: +5 Energy every 10 minutes.
- Everyone else: +5 Energy every 15 minutes.
Either way it caps at 100 — regeneration just stops ticking once you're full.
Food
Eating restores Energy immediately instead of waiting on passive regen — see Food. You're limited to 5 meals per daily reset, so it's a real resource to manage, not an unlimited top-up. A few special food items can push your Energy briefly above 100; the next passive-regen tick clamps it back down to the cap.
Points Refill
Spend 5 Points to refill straight to 100 Energy, limited to 2 refills per daily reset.
Voting
Voting for Masked City on its affiliated voting sites earns Vote Tokens (once per site per 24 hours). Exchange a Vote Token for 20 Energy (capped at 100), or save them up — 2 Vote Tokens can also be exchanged for 1 Point instead.
Bonus Rewards
Small Energy bonuses can also drop as random bonus rewards from other activities — a rare Arena win bonus (+10 or +20 Energy) or a Streets bonus reward (+5, +10, or +20 Energy). Not something to plan around, but a nice bump when it happens.
Tips
- Energy is the real bottleneck on progress, not cash — the highest-value habit is not letting it sit capped out and unused.
- Donator status roughly triples your effective passive regen rate over a full day (15-minute ticks vs. 10-minute ticks) — it adds up fast if you're logging in regularly.
- Save your 5 daily meals for when you're actually about to burn through a full Energy bar training or hitting the Streets, not piecemeal.
