Mirage Simulation

The Mirage is a combat simulation league — sign your Avatar up for a session, and every 30 minutes (on the hour and half hour) the Mirage runs it: a 10-fighter elimination bracket where the weakest performer is knocked out each round until one Avatar is left standing. You don't play it live — you sign up, and come back later to see how it went.

Level 15 is required to access the Mirage at all.

Getting Started

  • Buy your first Avatar Frame at The Forge — it's automatically equipped the moment you own one.
  • Sign up from The Drop Point (the Mirage hub) using a Ticket. You get 6 tickets, refilled at both daily resets (noon and midnight) — not additive, just topped back up to 6.
  • You can only be signed up for one open session per tier at a time. Once a session fills to 10 signups, a new one opens automatically for anyone still joining.

Your Avatar's Stats

Three stats decide how your Avatar performs, combined from your equipped Frame plus whatever modules you've installed:

  • Core Power — your baseline performance floor.
  • Ceiling — your performance headroom above that floor.
  • Neural Reflex — how consistently you perform near your Ceiling instead of near your Core floor. Higher Reflex (and higher personal Skill, see below) means more of your rolls land close to your best-case number instead of your worst-case.

Each session round, every fighter gets a single performance roll blending their Core, Ceiling, and Reflex, plus a bonus from the map (see Maps below). The lowest roll that round is eliminated. This repeats until one fighter remains.

Skill

Separate from your Avatar's gear, your own Skill (0–100) makes your Reflex more reliable — high Skill means your rolls lean toward your Ceiling more consistently, low Skill means more randomness. Skill only grows by actually completing sessions, with a base gain of 0.5 for 1st place, 0.3 for top 3, and 0.1 otherwise — but the real amount you gain scales with how far you are from the 100 cap, not a flat number. At exactly 50 Skill you get precisely the base amount; below 50 you gain faster than that (nearly double at very low Skill), and above 50 it tapers off toward nothing as you approach 100.

The Forge — Avatar Frames

Frames are your Avatar's chassis and set your base Core/Ceiling/Reflex before any modules. There are 39 Frames spanning a huge price range, generally trading which stat leads as price climbs:

FrameCoreCeilingReflexPrice
Scrap Frame2102100
Combat Frame41541,000
Phantom-100062165,000
Shadow-1000730715,000

Council-2000149014750,000
Void Frame18105181,500,000
Apex Legend Frame22113222,250,000

(A sample, not the full list — every tier in between exists too, including specialized variants that push one stat higher at the cost of another.) Selling a Frame you're not using refunds 75% of what you paid.

The Circuit — Modules

Modules are installed on top of your Frame, one each in three slots: Core Processor, Neural Reflex, and Barrier Protocol (which feeds Ceiling). Each line has 45 tiers of increasing price and power. The cheapest modules only add to their own stat; higher tiers start trading — a strong Core Processor might quietly subtract from your Ceiling or Reflex, so stacking three maxed-out modules doesn't automatically mean three maxed-out stats. Read what each module actually does to your other two stats before buying, especially past the mid tiers.

Calibration Lab

A free, instantly-swappable fine-tune on top of your Frame + Modules — pick one per match (or leave it as your Avatar's default):

SettingCoreCeilingReflex
Default+0+0+0
Boost Core+2−3−1
Boost Ceiling−1+6−1
Boost Reflex−1−3+2

You can pick your calibration right on the signup form, per session — worth matching it to that session's map (see below).

Maps

Every session is randomly assigned one of 5 maps, each favoring a different stat with its own bonus:

MapFavorsDescription
Rooftop DistrictCore PowerOpen combat on city rooftops. Raw stats dominate.
Abandoned SubwayNeural ReflexTight tunnels. Reflex matters most.
Floating SkyscraperBalancedVertical combat, all three stats weighted evenly.
Underground BunkerCeiling / BarrierHeavy armor favored. Barrier Protocol is critical.
Neon AlleyCore PowerFast eliminations. Core Processor floor is everything.

Tiers & Advancing

You climb through 10 tiers, each gated by Legend Points (LP), which you earn from session placements (1st = 10 LP, 2nd = 6 LP, 3rd = 4 LP, nothing for 4th or lower):

TierNameLP to Manually AdvanceLP for Auto-Promotion

8Mirage Masters1,7508,800
9Apex Legend2,20010,800
10The Council2,700— (max tier)

There are two ways up: manually advance the moment you cross the lower LP threshold, or keep grinding — you get auto-promoted the moment your LP crosses the higher threshold, whichever comes first. Either way, your 1st/2nd/3rd placement counters reset to zero at the new tier, and manually advancing also auto-assigns you the best Sponsor unlocked at your new tier.

Gold Payouts by Placement

Every session pays gold to all 10 finishing spots, scaling up hard by tier:

10 — The Council5,0004,4003,8502,7501,450

Every placement pays something — even 10th place at the lowest tier is 125 gold for a single ticket. Sessions auto-fill any empty slots with NPC fighters so a session never runs short-handed, and NPCs take up real bracket spots (and can eliminate real players) rather than being guaranteed easy wins.

Detailed Reports

For 2,500 gold, order a Detailed Report on a session you're signed up for (while it's still open). It runs your live gear and calibration — and everyone else's — through hundreds of simulated rolls and shows real estimated win-share odds for the specific lobby you're in. Once the session resolves, everyone gets the round-by-round result log for free either way — the report is only useful for that pre-match odds check.

Exchange

Convert other resources into Mirage gold:

  • Points → Gold: 1 point = 1,000 gold.
  • Cash → Gold: $100 = 1 gold (cash amount must be a multiple of $100).

Tips

  • Match your Calibration to the session's map — Boost Reflex on the Subway, Boost Ceiling in the Bunker, and so on.
  • Check a module's full stat line before buying at higher tiers — some trade one stat for another rather than being pure upgrades.
  • A Detailed Report is only worth it in a close-looking lobby — in a stacked or weak one, the odds are usually obvious without paying for it.
  • You don't have to manually advance the instant you're eligible — staying at a lower tier longer means smaller session payouts but an easier bracket, useful if you want to keep grinding LP and gold before a harder tier.
